Milan is an Australian native with a background in hospitality that started when he was 15. In Melbourne he ascended to managerial roles in a number of F&B outlets namely Stokehouse, Nobu, Mink, and The Prince. In 2007, Milan moved to Beijing to open Swire Hotels’ first boutique hotel, The Opposite House and served as the Director of Restaurants & Bars responsible for five outlets as well as the conception and launch of cupcake café, Colibri in 2010. In 2011, Milan was tasked to develop a larger Swire Hotels property, East, Beijing with four outlets and an events space under his care. In 2012, Milan co-founded Cakeshop Consulting, a boutique consulting company which launched multiple concepts across Beijing and Shanghai.
